Here is a quick video showing some spawn carp and me catching a bass in the middle of it all. Don't be afraid that those carp are running the bass off, they aren't...

We had those carp spawning here a couple of months ago  ::)

Yes it was, I had it on 2k for color, not sure why it wasn't on 4k...

I have a tripod I put on the back deck, I'm going to get the light pole like you have as well. I'd like to put it on the front light terminal so that it's in my face and I can talk about some of my presentations...

The only trouble with the Yolotek (light pole), on my boat anyway, is that it is not central. It does give different angle options, but I do like the center view on your video. I haven't tried it in the front light socket yet  :-*

I know Yolotek has several options available.

My Yolotek 53 is here but I haven't mounted it yet. I bought the two pin screw in base that I'm going to add on the bow. When I did the second electrical circuit, I ran an extra set of wires to the bow for it.

My head wouldn't stop spinning if I kept hearing and seeing blowups like that. I can only imagine how your big bass sound when they explode on a frog Mike.

As far as the video quality, it was pretty good. Looking forward to watching future videos.

Great audio on that camera. Nice short video.

I have a lake up here that the bass follow crap as they are stirring up the bottom. Just find the carp and cast right behind them with a tube. I almost forgot about that lake.

Pretty good audio and video there Mike. It's crazy that your carp are spawning in mid July. Ours are usually in late May to mid June.

We've had a really strange year for all species... We stayed cool longer than normal and then blitzed into the heat. But even now our water temps are only in the upper 80's when normally we are launching into 89-91 degree water that often hits 100 degrees surface temp about 5 PM

Mike thanks for sharing the video with us.  One day I'm coming for a visit just to fish those waters around your place.

Are your carp as big as ours, ours cab be 25-30 lbs, most 5 to 15 and they pull like crazy, no fight just a pull, if you could train them you wouldn't need a TM.

Those in the first part of the video were easy 30 pounders. I think I said they were forty but that might have been over guessing... Long as your leg and wide as a dog...

Are those the big grass carp that have a black/gold hue to them? We have big grass carp, but their populations aren't that relevant.

Mike Cork

These are just big buffalo carp, when you think of carp, it's them. They just get big here... everywhere I reckon.

I just looked up buffalo carp. Those suckers are huge!! We don't have those.

Our grass carp is a lot smaller.

That's them Lou.... We call them submarines  ~roflmao Even after the spawn, you'll run across one almost daily... Fishing along and then you'll spook one about 5 feet off the front of the boat. I've had my illustrious snake eating partner jump off the front deck like a little girl when it happens ~roflmao
