I had the day off from teaching, the weather looked good, so I decided to go out in the morning.  Asked the kids and I was surprised that my 14 year old son wanted to go (I planned to get up at 6 AM and he usually sleeps in until 11 AM or noon!). I also half expected him to say he didn't want to go when I woke him up this morning, but to my even bigger surprise, he was up as I was coming to the kitchen!  Got a bit of a late start as I forgot he lost a lure last time and I forgot to get his rod set up so had to do that.  Then I realized I ran over the trailer plug the last time I moved the boat, so one of the plugs was flattened and I had to make it round again! Anyways, realized that next time I need to get up at 5:30!

It was one of those beautiful mornings where the water was like glass!  No one at the boat dock and had no problems putting in.  Get the boat on the dock so I could move the vehicle and park, get back to the dock and realize I forgot my phone at home!! ~b~. You know where this is going..

Went to hook up the Garmin and realized I was missing one of the plastic screw in things that keeps the transom wire tight to the unit!   ~b~

Thankfully I did some research the night before using Fishidy and found a spot I wanted to hit.  Of course I thought I would use my phone to get there, but found enough visual cues from the satellite image to find the spot.

Hook Nate up with a spinnerbait and I planned to do some frogging.  First cast and he hooks a LGM bass!  It was just under 15 inches and of course, no camera!!!  IN any event, it made the trip all the worth while.  I used the trolling motor to work some bank areas and he eventually caught another small one on a T-rigged purple and pink ribbon worm.

I skunked  ~roflmao, but it gave me time on the water to get used to the trolling motor and fish at the same time.  Still getting used to that.  Also worked better on keeping my line tight when I was jigging a chatter bait.

Got back and when I went to winch the boat onto the trailer, the handle broke off!!  It is brand new and only the second time I used it!  Emailed the company and waiting for a response!

It was still a great time talking and fishing with my son.  He wants to go every Friday now, but I will be off in July so we can go anytime during the week.  Have a new fishing buddy!

I ignore most calls, etc, I wanted it more for the ability to take pictures.  I'm not running with a GoPro so I had no ability to capture the event.
