So I changed my fuel injectors on my 115 Yamaha 4 stroke and it was running great then all of a sudden I'm getting an alarm from my control box that is continuous. The boat is peein fine and cycling water good. There is plenty of oil. Everything is working right. What could it be? It will go off randomly and slow down my engine, but then will work just fine after I put it in neutral and go after a couple of times of the alarm screaming at me. I'm lost. Any help would be great.

I'm not sure on a yamaha but on a merc a steady tone is overheat. You might have a thermostat that is sticking. While the water is peeing just fine, one side of your motor might not be getting the water it needs and is heating up. I definitely wouldn't push it. Thermostats are generally very easy to change on a merc anyway. I just don't have yamaha experience. BUT with any outboard it is completely possible to have water pressure and not be getting water to all the correct places.

You can through all that out even more because I'm not real familiar with 4 stroke outboards. I don't know how many thermostats they have, could be just one?

Well being a 4-s you can count out low oil alarm.

Could be when you changed the injectors there is some air in the system. I don't know that for sure just a guess.

But in any case I wouldn't continue to run it.
