Hey everyone! Went out today with T-bass. We had a really good day I got my personal best and some good fish.

We had planned to get up early and go fishing but it was pouring, waited a while, finally left, it was still raining but not as bad. Got out there still raining... The second we put our canoe in the water it stopped. OK first off hear me out, this lake the bottom is 2 feet of muck and weeds so there's no bottom contact baits period. They dissappear. I might try a real long dropshot soon though.

I started with a "woops"y shad spinnerbait my brother used a red chatter he got on one only a few cast in, I switched to it and got on a nice one. A few cast later I got my Personal best, 2.74lbs. I know not big but still my best, good for me here in Michigan. Anyways we continued I fished that red chatter with the Lockett lures curl tail worm trailer for a while and got 1 more on it. A dry spout and my brother got on a 3lber biggest of the day. A little while later I switched to a black buzzbait with the same lockett lures worm (different one but same) threw it near a stump and I started retrieving and boom I had one! My first fish ever on a top water. Fished that for a little while no bites so I switched to a green pumpkin chatter with a green pumpkin keitech and got 3 more! It ended up being 6 for me and T-bass1 got 2. One of my best days out yet and a lot of fun. Here's some pictures thanks for reading! Glad to finally share some real catches with you guys!

~c~  Congrats on your PB Jacob!  ~c~ I was curious where you where, haven't seen you post in awhile. Congrats, and thank you for sharing.  ;PEP)

Great Job Jacob.  You might also want to send your picture of the fish with the Dobyns Rod to Gary Dobyns.  He has been asking for pictures and that is a good one.

Thanks Bassinlou! Yeah I read a lot before I buy anything and I've been reading on building a computer so I've been active on those forums. Not trying to leave you guys behind. ;)  I'm not going anywhere trust me!

Thanks! Should I email them the picture? I'd love to do so, I see them on they're Instagram all the time!

As I recall E-Mail was the preference.

Nice catches! Not a single thing wrong with any of those fish.  ~c~

Try emailing info@dobyns rods.com and asking them where to send the photos. The email Bud gave you is Gary's personal email at the company so I wouldn't use that one - unless you already did  ;) lo

There was an email specifically for submitting pictures but i'd have to dig through my past Dobyns newsletters to find it. Might save yourself some time by just emailing .

Totally off topic but in that first pic you look EXACTLY like my best friend from high school.  :o Your dad or mom didn't happen to grow up here in MA did they?  ;)

Haha no I haven't yet so I won't bother Mr. Dobyns with his personal. And wow what a coincidence, no both my parents were born and raised here in Michigan unless they're hiding a secret. ;) That's just me!

Sorry for the later response! Thanks so much! It means a lot coming from all of you that kinda taught me the basics. ;)
