I just happened to come across this used boat this evening.
Its a 2006 Champion 210.
https://www.boattrader.com/boat/2006-champion-210-7368923/
I have read and read on what are great used bass boats and this one seems to pass the general public scrutiny test. Do any of you have anything I need to know about this specific model? I have been studying the things to normally check for but kind of wanted input on this specific model or close to it. I'm all ears as this is the boat I will take to my grave I cant afford to drop this coin again. I know its nothing to some folks but trying to retire this is a pretty big chunk.
Kind of a odd color I cant decide if I like it or not. Probably wont match my black Z71 very well.  lo
It is priced a little higher than the NADA says it should be but it does have one 8ft Power Pole that would put it fairly close to what they are asking. I thought I would get Talons if I ever got any poles but this is ready to go I suppose I wont complain.
I don't know much about the Motorguide Great White 36v trolling motor but they are looking to be a roughly $2300.00 unit new. Maybe it will be a great unit they are designed for saltwater use from what I read.
And for one of the top reasons I want a different boat. I want to play golf on the deck.  lo
95" wide beam!  ;D

A few things I preferred different is the dual console. I usually am alone and I like positioning my boat where I have that open side to work if I need to. But I would have more deck than my current boat so it may be OK. Second I'm not positive I will like a hand control TM. If its a solid stout unit I can work with it. Third that color. Hopefully it looks different in person.

I will be calling in the morning to talk to the dealer before driving to see it. It is a 2 hr drive one way in a lot of traffic. I'm not holding my breath. Tons of used boats out there so I wont get in any hurry.

Steve, I got no personal knowledge of this boat , however it's I believe the same boat that Matt Allen of tacticalbassin.com has. A while back he did a couple of videos about the boat and what he did to set his up. You might want to go to his site and check it out

Steve that is a really nice looking boat there.  Good luck with the search.  Take your time and find WHAT you really want.  It's sitting out there somewhere waiting for you.    Prior to buying my Stratos I live in BoatTrader.com   I spent about 6 months looking for my boat.

The Champion has a solid reputation as a good boat.  I know they are quite good on big water.  I agree the price seems a bit high for the age of the boat.  The big thing of course would be the motor.  This deal is 14 years old and I would want a solid check out of the motor first.  Interesting about the trolling motor.  Although I would not want a hand guided motor versus a foot controlled motor there are reasons why this can be a good choice based on your fishing conditions and how you position the boat.  Last year in Florida our guide also had a Salt Water hand controlled trolling motor.   He claims the salt water motors have a longer life span and since he fishes 250 days a year in lots of heavy cover he wanted something that also had a reverse capability.  So, he went with the great white.  Not sure they all have reverse but his did.  He likes to nose into the reeds and stuff for flipping and punching and being able to back out easy was good for him.  He also has a large guide business and often has to position the boat to help a client recover baits that have hung up in the heavy stuff.  Just thought I would mention that to you.

As Don said, take your time a get what you want.  It may take months and months but the right thing will come along and I bet you will know it when you see it.  You are an experienced boater and I am sure you are fully aware of the maintenance of repair and replace for boat items like bilge pumps etc is just part of the game.  Good luck in your hunt and decision for your "last" retirement boat.  Lots of fish in the sea so to speak.

Just a follow upon this boat. It has a deposit on it. I'm in line if it falls through but it looks like its pretty much sold. Still got a eye out for one but not pushing to hard.

Nice boat!

This is Seller season, so sellers aren't going to come off their prices much. You've been around here long enough that I know you'll do a great job vetting anything you consider buying. The best advice I can give is get what you really want.

You can't go wrong with any Champion. John Story build the hulls for them and he had a big part in the Legend hull as well. The man knows how to build a good stable boat.

Motors are motors, do all the checks you can and make sure you're happy with the quality. You might even be able to get an aftermarket warranty.

The prices of good used boats is going up because the demand is sky rocketing. The price of new boats is just not reasonable anymore and wiser anglers are looking at keeping their rigs or buying used.

Look at electronics too, they are worth money on top of book value.
