I don't know about there, but here temps are supposed to be in the upper 70s and even hitting 80 potential for the second half of this week.

Just need thunderstorms to stay away...

Looks nice and warm but yes the possibility of T-storms is good. We should have the whole morning dry though.

I just found out, that we're having my dads 50th birthday party Sunday.  So unfortunately that's going to put the kabosh on my being there. I'm beyond bummed, l was really looking forward to meeting you guys:( we'll have to do another one sometime. Maybe once the campgrounds open back up we could do a full weekend at raystown or something.

Looks like saturday I will get out for a half day on the Potomac river with a friend as well. Should be a good weekend. It aligns with my weekend off grad school before summer courses start so it's good timing for some relaxation.

I just got done talking to a buddy who was at the lake two weekends ago. He said he got to the lake around 1pm and the James Creek lot was completely full. He went over to Aitch and was able to launch after waiting 30 minutes to get his turn at the ramp.

He said the lake has been packed because of everything going on. Hopefully things aren't as bad in the morning, but expect there to be a lot of boat traffic.

We may just stay in the James creek area to fish. The other option is Sweet Beaver.

Hopefully getting out early will help... try to get out before the crowds grow. If the weather stays a little questionable it might keep the crowds down too. I'm up for whatever though.

It's Shy Beaver Zippy!

I think my Dad's engine is still limited to idle only, so I'll be a bit handicapped if it requires running. I might be bringing a buddy along with me if AP is fishing with you Zip.

Fishballer, assuming nothing changes I will fish with zip so feel free to bring someone along.

The forecast is still showing rain but at least thunderstorms risk has dissipated a bit.

Zip is either a fan of reaction innovation baits or, well, you know .

Just want to confirm, this is where I'm going correct?

Yes, that's the Aitch boat ramp. You'll know you're there whenever you see the big long fishing pier and a decent sized cove on the back side of the pier.

Was sorting through some tackle in preparation for Saturday and sunday. I didnt realize the random assortment of junk I had in my tackle crate and bag. Need to decide what is work bringing. Any suggestions for raystown this time of year?

Some plastics for bed fishing maybe. Cranks, spinnerbaits, and chatterbaits. Dropshot if you have any and some topwater. Of course never leave home without a jig. Lots of alewife in the lake so any thing that resembles an injured alewife always works there. So flukes and jerkbaits are always standards there.

Glad I asked! I have several bags of flukes and caffeine shads that I probably would have left behind.
