I am planning on getting there on Saturday. I think I am staying at Huntingdon Motor Inn, it is boat friendly.

I guess we will have to play this by ear. Hopefully in a month we will be seeing things get better from the COVID pandemic. In the mean time, stay safe everyone.

One thing to note, effective today, all "service areas" on government property are closed now. AKA - the bathrooms at Raystown launches are closed now. Ramps are still open to the public. My Dad's boat is supposed to be done at Shy Beaver today or tomorrow.

Good to hear your boat will be done. Debbie is not going so I would like to stay at your parents place with you. We could both go in my truck.

My Dad just texted me, it's done. He's picking it up tomorrow and going out on Raystown crappie fishing. I'll report back here with the water conditions.

I'll let you know if that can still work out. My Grandfather has been staying with my parents to ride out this COVID thing. If this stuff all blows over, it won't be an issue at all.

I will be there for sure. But only for the one day. Not sure about hotels or staying at someone elses house.
But I will not miss it and the boat is just about ready. I will be trying to get the new sonars on the boat this weekend.

I'm still hopeful to go. My Dad's boat has a brand new powerhead, so I'm limited to idle for the first couple hours on the boat until we get it broken in.

I should be able to idle around, but I may not be able to make any big long runs down the lake. Hopefully my Dad can get the boat out a few times before this meetup and get a few hours on it. After the idle break in, there's like 10 hours or so where you can run the boat at 3/4 throttle on plane for two minutes at a time.

I guess pick your ramp wisely.

Either way it will be good to get out. I'm excited to meet you guys and learn a thing or 2.

Which ramp are y'all planning launch from? My closest one is Snyder Run, it's about 20 min further up to Aitch..

Boat ramp is up for discussion. I like Aitch better as it has a better dock. The state park ramp is nice also.

Snyder and Aitch both have good fishing near the ramps.

James Creek and Aitch have the best bass fishing around.

Tatman has a really nice flat that holds fish (bass and walleye). There's also a bunch of rip rap on both sides of the road/bridge. Also, no wake areas. This boat ramp is pretty steep though.

Shy Beaver has a bunch of old roadbeds that can hold fish. It's also no wake back in there.

I can't comment on Snyder's because we've never really fished the dam end of the lake.

I'm 2.5 hours from that ramp so to make it worth it I'm going to try and get there as early as possible. Day break should be doable with enough coffee...

There's parts of the lake with little/no cell phone service. So if you can't reach someone, that could be why. Everyone should probably post what boat they'll be in if we aren't all going to meet at the time time/place.
