Ok boys,

Lets make a date for Raystown.
I was thinking Sunday June 7th.

After we set a date for us Pa. guys I will put a post in the Rally threads so others can join if they want.

Ok we'll try a different date.

Any suggestions? Maybe earlier before they head for deep water.

Maybe the weekend before memorial day (17th)? Is that too early out that region?  May is a weird month. Mothers day is before that and memorial day is after that.

That's prime crappie fishing time on Raystown! Usually bass are on beds or at least roaming against the banks at that time frame.

The 17th it is then. I love fishing around the spawn.
I am going to post this in the Rally boards also.

Good luck on your guys event. M&G's are a great way to get to know your fellow UB members, its a lot of fun and you can always learn a thing or two. I know I have. Best of luck to you all.  ~beer~

Let's see if we get any others from the area to join? At this point I'll plan to bring the yak!

If bassmanstan shows up there will be two boats so far. We have enough room for three in mine.

I should be able to make it out in the afternoon, I'll have an extra seat in my boat as well in that case.

No I didn't, I gotta take a good pic of my rig. I have a 93 pro craft 150. Fully rebuilt deck with a 2003 merc 90 4 stroke on it.

I love those 4 strokes. Have a 60 on the Crestliner.

I might be able to take my Dad's Blazer out for this. We'll see what that new Stratos of yours is made of  ;D

That sounds like a challenge ?

That would be cool.  We will be able to search and find the fish faster.

And then I can just fish with whoever finds them first! Lol

Or more accurately whoever has the most patience for my questions

That is what these meet and greets are about. Learning form each other.

Just as long as I don't have to fish with that fishballer.  lo

Shots fired!  ~roflmao

It will be interesting. I would think moving baits will be the go to so i'm already thinking through what gear/tackle I don't already have that I might want to buy.

It should be the weedy areas they will be in. I'm thinking chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, swimjigs and small swimbaits, and t-rigs and jigs.
But who knows they may be moving out and on the points. Then it jerkbaits, crankws and jigs.

Swimbaits and spinners were my first thought. Especially considering that's a bit more of my confidence techniques (love me some underspins). Though it would be good to get some successful time and learning on cranks and jerks.

I have a friend at work that is a tournament guy out this region. I'm going to see if I can get him to join up on UB and then possibly come out for the M&G. We need some more PA folks around here.
