Tach wires Mercury motor and controls

Anyone know which two colored wires in the controls cables are for the tach? Just put a mercury motor and controls on the boat and trying to hook up the tach. Not sure which 2 wires it is.

In case you need to know, it is purple and gray wires.

Unless you were replacing another Mercury, it's not going to work. The gauges and controls are are specific to each motor brand. The "rigging" costs a dealer charges to repower a boat usually include the gauges and controls.
