Congrats on all the catches from me as well.

Sadly I didn't post one.

I went but man its tough fishing right now. I literally had 8 rods on the deck. I threw everything including the tackle box, a kitchen sink, and wanted to throw a rod at them.

Went out Saturday in the morning and caught 2 around 17" and went back that evening and caught one about 14". What was sad was another boat (friends of mine) was out all day and all 3 of them zeroed.

Took a friend when I went back that evening and he matched my 1 catch and that was it.

Storms rolled through last night and its freaking sunny and bright out today. I may try this evening or tomorrow before heading back to work Wednesday. Those big girls should be at the table I would have thought.

This is going to kill me if I lose to Zip by 3/4"

I lost the fish that would have put me over the top on Saturday and I can still see that big girl coming up and jumping twice. What a beautiful fish.

Thanks but I think I may be coming up short.

Not a excuse just whats happened that has cost me some fishing days here on the end. My grandfather passed away Sunday morning at the great age of 97. Funeral is tomorrow (Tuesday) lots of family coming in so no fishing tomorrow. Wednesday forecast is storms all day. Thursday I have work till at least 3pm. So unless I can get a few hours in Thursday evening I'm done.

Yeah, but wouldn't it be fun sometime to switch it up?

I'm headed out tonight after work to my smallmouth creek to see if I can dumb into a decent sized small jaw. Probably my last chance to get out for the month.

Got there about 45 minutes before dark. The creek was high and essentially blown out from all the rain we've gotten this past week, so my night was a bust.

It's hard to even call that fishing. Muddy banks are hard to fish from.

What a crappy last 1/2 of October I have had. Literally stormed on several of my days off. That hurt pretty bad and then the past week has had many many twists that pretty much wrecked me trying to get more upgrades.

I am conceding.

I had work all morning started before light. Brake pads are gone on the front of my work van and I have a lot of work tomorrow. So I will be replacing a rotor

and some brakes since work over rules fishing at this time in my life. Its sad I know.
