Summary:  DELWARE RIVER was tough as nails today.

Multiple anglers barely got any bites and for those that did, trying to fill a limit just didn't happen.  It was my 1st time actually launching on the Delaware even though I had been on there like 2 other times.  50% of the field skunked. /b]

In All, 5 out of 9 SJHT Anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 11 Bass caught overall.    These Bass gave way to a total of 17.96lbs caught overall.   The avg. weight came out to be 1.63lbs.  2 Anglers caught at least there 3 Bass Limit.

What a way to end our 2019 SJHT Regular season.  Kudos to all members and guest for making this year another one for the record books.  Congrats to our 2019 Angler of the Year Brian *SubFish* McCulley.  Setting records left and right.  Fantastic.

Congrats to Dan on today's win and the Fu Man on his 2nd place finish.  Can't forget our 2019 Rookie Angler of the Year in newcomer " Tom Greene".  Way to come in like gang busters.

Next up is our 2019 SJHT BASS CLASSIC to be held on the Canal and Manasquan Res. in 2 weeks.

Great report BN, thank you for sharing. Very cool full moon pic. One of the aspects of bass fishing that intrigues me is how there is always an angler or anglers that can figure out the bite even when the conditions are tough. Congrats to the winner.

Thanks LipRipper.  Andy Trapper had a couple of nibbles but nothing to bring to the scales.  John P and his son Chris P. had some smaller catfish but nothing regarding Bass.  This was John and his son 1st time fishing the Delaware River.  The Tide swings anywhere from 5'~6'.... so one has to be cognizant of venturing too far up the creeks and tributaries especially as low tide rolls out.  Fortunately for us low tide was around 8:30am~9am depending on where you were at on the River.

The Delaware River is tough in general and if there are Tug Boats running....one has to watch out for there huge wakes.

I believe the winner Dan stated he found some good grass and that's where he concentrated his keepers at.  The top 2 finishers actually was apart of the winning team at last years 2018 SJBCA Bass Bowl on the Delaware River.....So they definitely had a big advantage in knowing\understanding the conditions and the Tide flow.
