Spinning setup

Alright so my first setup was a heavy bait casting outfit, a dobyns 735c and a Daiwa Fuego CT. I want a spinning setup soon for wackys, panfish, and, kayak fishing so any suggestions? I was thinking maybe a phlueger series and a medium uglystik? Also next summer I'm going to be going to the ocean for a few days so theres that too. At the moment I dont have the funds to do so especially after my incident today (thus me wanting an uglystik) and the bait monkey coming for me recently but I want to know for the future so when I do have the money I can jump on it. Any suggestions? The more reading I've done and from some personal experience I'm realizing my heavy rod and baitcaster is not for whipping my texas rig halfway across the lake now that I've almost eliminated the brakes from my use. I need a spinning setup to do that and not worry about snapping another rod from stupidity. In the last 24 hours I've done more reading on fishing to correct my mistake and not let it happen again. I should only use my heavy rod for heavy cover spinnerbaits ect and that stuff I dont need to cast a half mile. Not only was I fishing it wrong I was casting it wrong I need to work on underhand cast and one hand cast so I dont out so much pressure on the end of the rod. Anyways thanks for listening to that spiel just sort of reminding myself what's what. So back to the original question what would you guys reccomend for my spinning setup? I'd like to be able to cast a respectable distance for shore fishing and I'd like my rod to be able to take somewhat of a beating and fish for panfish now and then. Thanks!

I would look at the Berkley Lightning rods. Very good rods for that price range. As far as reels get a 2500 series Pflueger President or a Shimano.

Is a good suggestion for freshwater fishing.  2500 might be a little small for saltwater use, usually a 4000 or bigger works in the surf / pier.  Inshore 3000 is usually the size choice.  20 to 30 lb braid is what you will be spooling, and so 5 foot sharks are out of the question.

How much is in the budget.
Kastking has the Speed Demon Pro, Speed Demon, Calamus, Perigee, Brutus line of rods. I have one of each along with my Dobyns. I must say for the price the rods are not that bad. You can check them out on Amazon.

So what im hearing is a 3000ish phlueger/shumano reel and I'm hearing multiple different rods. I also wanna say this I dont have enough money right now but im gonna try and save up for the nicer stuff, I mean I'm spending a lot already might as well go the extra mile grab a few extra shifts do a few more lawns. Also are you guys recommending graphite/carbon composite rods or fiberglass more like an uglystik? If you guys really think I dont have a problem with another graphite/carbon rod then I'll go with it just not having to worry about it with an uglystik sounds pretty nice right now. Thanks.

So you would go with the Sahara? I think the fuego is out of the picture cause I cant find it the right size reasonably priced. So now it's the Sahara, Daiwa BG, and President XT. Also zippy do you think 3000 is an appropriate size what's the downside to getting a 3500 or 4000? I'm guessing you can't throw lighter weights and the lightest I want to throw is probably a wacky. For bass fishing a 2500 is the largest I use. Now for saltwater I would go bigger but also have a bigger, stronger rod.
Saltwater fish are a whole different ball game. Stronger, faster, and bigger for the most part.

Being as you are using it mainly for bass just get the 2500 and load it with 30 lb. braid when you head for saltwater.
When done fishing saltwater always rinse the reel and rod thoroughly with fresh clean water or it will corrode on you.

I'll also be fishing for some walleye and the same place I fish for walleye people catch Atlantics quite often so the 2500 could handle that and light lures for bass? Thanks.

Also... lol I know sorry. My dad got the sahara, my brother got the president after I recommended them to them... stole them from under me, point is we want different reels to try them out so its between the Daiwa BG and Daiwa Fuego LT both are the size I want on ebay for the same price the bg is bigger and heavier duty but the fuego it smaller lighter and the same weight. What would you choose? And my dad rarely gushes so I plan on putting his sahara on my rod often (shhhhh dont tell him). Thanks.

The 2500 is an excellent freshwater size reel. The only exception is for trout where a 1000 size for the smaller baits is better.

Now for another reel I still like the Sahara the best and a lot of others. I am sure a Daiwa would be good but haven't used one for years.

Ok, this is just my opinion.

And I am a Daiwa baitcaster diehard.

The Shimano spinning reels have a smoother drag and last a long time. I have a Sahara that the reel knobs are actually worn to the metal. And with each new version getting better.
After owning over a dozen Saharas not one ever needed repaired from a failure. All they ever needed was a good cleaning and lube.

The NASCI is an excellent reel but is it worth the extra money? Well yes each step up is a little better but is it worth the extra money. That is only a question you can answer. I have never wanted more than the Sahara offered me.
The Stradic is raved about by many people but to spend that kind of money on a spinning reel is not something I would do. And I have many baitcasters that were more than that.

Find a deal on the Nasci or Stradic and I would grab them up.
