One of the great delights of summer.  Homemade bread, bacon, mayo, and maters with a dash of salt.  If you don't like this then you need to turn in your man card.

I thought this was a physics thread.  I think you meant "mater" sandwiches...not "matter".    ~roflmao

Bud Kennedy

OOOPS, you are only half right.  It is still sammiches

cd1

I agree 100% on "sammiches" and on this being the right time of year for that delicious treat.

Absolutely, without any doubt or hesitation!

I grow only Heirloom tomatoes. My favorite is Cherokee Purple. It's great on a BLT. I only have 10 plants this year as gardening is getting harder to do. Last year Heirloom tomatoes were selling for $4 a pound vs, $4 a tomato this year.

I suck at gardening.  I can't tell you how many times I planted tomatoes out back and they never turned red.  I had a bunch of big green tomatoes hanging there.

Wizard

Just shoot some rattle can red on those green maters. No one will know the difference.

Cd if you pick them while still green and put them on the window sill they will ripen in a few days. Just remember to keep a few inches of the stem on. I can't get a ripe tomato ever. The raccoons get to them first.
