I've been back a couple of times, it's been the only place that has a ramp my knee could handle. I was back yesterday for about 41/2 hours of fishing, with the high pressure, clear water and the doing the one rod challenge one more time, it was a bit tough. I tried topwater first but no go, so I went deeper, 8 or 9 feet and tried swimming a jig, I had seen some baitfish on my electronics and the gulls were picking a few up but the big goose egg. Finally I tied on a Trick Worm with an 1/8 ounce weight and tried swimming it just off the bottom, hopping it, jerking it and finally dragging it, dragging worked. I switched to a 4inch BPS Sticko for more bulk and to try to pick up some bigger fish after a jig failed me. that worked also, number of bites tailed off but the fish were larger. I didn't work any of the areas I tried hard, it was a short day because of my knee but I wound up with 7 in the boat had a good fish come off when it decided to become an acrobat, I chummped out and missed several, lack of practice , but am happy with what I had, 6 legal, one 3 pounder and figured out a tough day with minamal equipment.
The lake is clear, it has some strong algae blooms and the nutjobs are coming out but it's still worth the effort because something is always biting.
