The sun is setting, the water is like glass, the fish are aggressive, and you want to throw a topwater bait.  What will it be?  What's your weapon?

Mine would have to be a Rebel Pop-R, a Zara Spook, or a buzzbait.  I'd throw whatever was handy, but the Pop-R would be at the top of my list.

Frog or big spook. ;)

I need to start throwing a frog.  I've got a few in the box, but I never throw them.  I probably just can't break my habit of throwing the others.   :)

When you get yourself an awesome blow up on a frog and connect with a solid hookset, I think you might develope a new top water habit. ;)

Frog, rat, or MS slammer. I like hollow frogs because they can be fished anywhere and bigger bass tend to go for them more than little dinks. Rats and slammers are just fun to watch and also attract the bigger bites.

Quit reading this and go fishing!

If fish would consistently devour a hollow body frog, year round, I'd throw it exclusively for the rest of my fishing days!

I'd rather have a little wind but the spook for me also.
Wizard, I've got a few woodchoppers laying around.  Think they are worth anything ?

Wizard

The old Woodchoppers are worth their weight in gold on the water. I would use them and wouldn't think of selling them. The old choppers are 4.5 inches long. The newer choppers are 7 inches and made for Peacock bass.

Hard to pick a favorite top water lure.  I like them all.  Top Water Bassin is just about as good as it gets no matter what lure you favor.  Top Water can be like another favorite sport where it is said that even when it is bad it is still good.

Calm a popper, a touch of stain to heavy stain a torpedo, if it feels right a spook, switch up with a buzzbait. Over grass on top a toad or jig work into the grass.

If the water is like glass, nothing beats a weightless fluke waked just under the surface but I like the other choices mentioned, too.

Was  Charlie Campbell involved in the woodchopper ?  The ones I have must be 35 years old. One looks like a black shore minnow spook and the other some sort of shad pattern .

Favorite right now is the Livingston Walking Boss in Bone Cracker.  Caught a ton on it this year

That's a great choice.  I saw the pic you posted in another thread with that bait. I have a bunch of them from when I was on their Pro-Staff. It's a great bait and that bone croaker color seems to catch em in lots of different water conditions. I don't throw that enough anymore.
