N.E. Texas City Lake 7/19/19 Bass Fishing Report

Time of day: 7:30am to 10:00am
Weather conditions: Clear skies Wind S 5 mph increasing to 12 mph
Temperatures: Water temps were 83 deg. Air temp was 77 rising to 85

Went for a quick morning therapy on the water. Was pretty nice as the fish were biting and I was the only boat on the lake. 

Ill keep this one short as I didn't fish long anyway. Here are a few pics with nothing really special to tell. I was just trying to have some fun and maybe catch me a upgrade on my IBASS stringer.

First catch on a Ribbit Toad, was a more rare find in this lake. He had the longer slim body but needed to grow as he wasn't long enough to help me.


I found this nice catch later with my jig. Was just pulling up on a new spot. Still coasting into it picked up the jig and made a long toss that landed perfectly where I was aiming. (rare occurrence ) And immediately as it hit the water this guy hits it like a topwater strike.

And again another jig fish.


Called it a day pretty early for me. Had to much to do today but couldn't resist the opportunity to get out. Was a good morning to relieve stress. Sure makes my weeks go smoother when I get therapy.
