I was on the lake most of the weekend but I did see some of the coverage while relaxing with a Jim Beam.
As usual it's a jersey wearin 'contest and this year we have the $3000 + trolling motor category with the pro's trying to convince everybody we need one.
Maybe it's just me but how many ned rig worms does the industry need ?
And a motorized swimbait ?  these guys are reaching.  The best news was the Googans stayed away , but so did some legitimate companies like 6th sense. I wonder if folks are thinking their advertising money might be best spent elsewhere with all the social media these days?

Its a flooded market, and the only people making a killing are the companies producing all them baits/rods/reels out of Korea and China.
My wife says she is gonna leave me if I go fishing one more time........lord how I will miss that woman.

Definitely a lot of hype and BS products. It's like the fly fishing world. I still use rods and reels that are 30+ years old and lures that are older. And they catch fish. One of my major sources of soft plastics is the trash cans at my local lake. People throw away perfectly good baits and mildly torn ones. I scavenge and reuse these things and get a kick out of it. And as usual...the bass don't care.

Oh come know you of little faith. Don't you know the extra rib on the beaverworm is a game changer as is the little dot just above the eye they put on your favorite crankbait. Now they put an extra hook holder on your favorite rod while drilling clearance holes to take 1/70th of ounce of weight and the ballbearing on the reel mount for easier installing on the rod. Why even Roland has an all new redesigned Helicopterflyinglure out and the Dancin ell now comes in 4 new colors and 5 new sizes.

Old Fishermen never die, their rods just go limp.

I have always wondered how thick the line was that the guy was using when he caught that World Record Bass in Perry, GA?   Maybe that special fluorocarbon 4lbs test that was ultra-sensitive and anti-abrasive? Or.... maybe some twine made from hemp?  ~roflmao

Add BPS, Tackle Whare House, Monster, and others to that list, not to mention the pros that endorse the products. See, you're supporting a whole bunch of people.
