It is currently 2:30 AM and I am at work for the next few hours. At this moment, it has been 2 days and 11 hours since I have been fishing and I have to tell ya... I feel like I'm about to die! I've decided that work is overrated and just downright wrong! I need to figure out how to get paid to be a full time fisherman.

It's been over a week since I've been fishing. And the prospects aren't looking so hot for today. The longest I've gone recently was a couple of months when I was super busy at work and had all sorts of other stuff getting in the way. I might have to settle for casting some jigs and reorganizing tackle boxes today. Work definitely is overrated, but it pays for all my tackle, gas, electricity, and licenses, etc. so...gotta suck it up and roll with it.

Technically, I do belong to that generation. However, to say that I fall into the same mindset of that group would be a gross overstatement.

Let me think about this.  I can go fishing any time I want.  Check.  I can sleep late if I want.  Check.  With Social Security and Pensions I get 5 paydays a month.   Check.   I drive to the ramp in the mornings just to irritate folks going to work.   Check.   I get home after fishing and take a nap.   Check.   So you guys that are still working just imagine what it is like to be retired.  But above all you must keep working so we can keep getting Social Security and Medicare.  It is your responsibility to keep working so I can have the life that I have become accustomed to.

Great points Bud. I am not retired but I do have a lot of free time especially while others are working to keep the SS afloat. It is awesome to have the lake entirely to yourself at times. And the nap after a great day of therapy on the water is also excellent.  lo

Along with that can come a month or to waiting for injections, a month for a meniscal tear and that's just so far this year, enjoy what you get and don't wish your life away, what's gone is gone forever.
