I see a tropical event is headed your way over the weekend.  Keep your powder dry guys it looks like it could be a lot of rain if the forecast holds.

Wizard

Louisiana forecast for 20-30 inches of rain. Mississippi River to flood and water to top the NOLA levees. Louisiana under emergency status from noon today. This storm may even affect St.Louis depending on track.

I'm going to find out if the fish are biting ahead of it's reaching north LA.  Hoping it goes more East.  We've had enough rain for the whole year already.
It's cloudy and 93 right now, no wind, but lots of humidity.  A good day to sweat off a pound or two.  :)

A pound or two??? I lost three before 10:30 Heat index is 105 already at 1500.

Yeah it's still iffy but I'm hoping for and eastern path, sorry Lee but you're gonna get blasted no matter what on this one...

What really sux is from say just east of Lake Fork, TX over to nearly the Mississippi Alabama boarder, we's flooded right now. Several East Texas lakes are 8-10 above normal and they are draining into the Louisiana swamp which won't settle down. I know over Lee's way the lakes are unusually high for summer pool. It's the lack of places for the water to go that's gonna get ugly.

Oh and the fact I'm still waiting on a roof and the mold is getting bigger and bigger in the house. The roofer says his guys are falling out from the heat and he has to quit them about 11 am so he gets from 6 to 11 and they are done, good news is those boys can knock out 2000 sq ft in five hours. Hoping for Friday... Fingers crossed.

2-3 foot of rain and no roof? First, I'll pray you get the roof before the rain. Second, I hope you find some high ground.and the family is safe.

I was checking the weather out also.  Lots of rain and other nasty stuff.  You guys living in the projected area we have ya'll in our prayers.

Mike sure hope you get that roof installed in time.  We had our roof replaced a few years ago and the complete job was done in one day.

We were on Black Bayou Hosston starting at 5:00 p.m.  Had four in the boat, biggest about five pounds, when thunder and lightening started and the wind picked up.  We hurried my little boat to the dock and came home, about 6:15.  We missed getting soaked by about five minutes.
This weather wasn't the big storm we are discussing, just part of a front coming down from Arkansas.

Yep, we are in the bullseye right now. Lots of rain and possibly looking at a Cat 2 storm. I'm hoping they are over playing that but none the less its on the table. Doing some prep stuff now around the house and getting ready for worse hoping for the least.

I can't figure any of them out.  I just find a tree or grass and throw baits at it.  :)

Looks like we are going to be spared, might get lucky and not a drop.

Lee you're gonna take a big hit now, the track is east of Shreveport and that puts you in the middle of the spray zone...

Jared, their is always run for you and the Lock Jaw crew up here, between all of us we can get everyone in a house or camper. :-*

I'm flying into Houston in a couple of hours. Looks like we'll be ok, but that's what we thought about Harvey. New Orleans looks like it's about to get sucker-punched again. And the best goes on.

I doubt that you plan to run,  but if you do,  I have an empty floor with two bedrooms and a full bath that you are welcome to use as log as you need it.

Benton Louisiana, UB Headquarters, took a direct hit, and we got wind all the way to 20 mph, then zero, then 20 mph the other way, the rain was miserable. Drizzled all day and kept the kids inside, total accumulation was about .4 inches....

Nothing more than a popcorn fart here...

Praying for those in the lower parts of the state and the Mississippi folks no one is talking about because N.O. takes all the news.

The bands have reached St. Louis, Mo. We expect 2-4 inches by tomorrow evening. Just rain with no wind. It's strange that Barry is among the first storms of the season when the normal is for Gulf storms to be among the last to form.

North Bama looks like it took a bit of rain, but working in STL so I don't know the exact numbers.  But, I do know my ring camera went off for a whole lot of spiders building a web in front of the cam.   lo
