Say hello to my 08 Harley Dyna Fat bob.  I picked her up end of April with 15xxx

Couldn't be happier with it.

My led underglow stopped working the other night so I gotta look at that.  Was riding with the club and we hit a train track pretty hard (let's just say some of the guys got air  ~c~)

Very nice! I prefer metrics over HD, but my first love was the Road King. I'll get one some day.

I've about decided my next will be a KLR 650. Dual sport, same bike the USMC used (heavily modified). I feel I'd get more versatility out of it than another cruiser, my Vulcan SUCKED when going off-road.

I love motorcycles period lol.  I do love the road king also.  I went back and forth looking at those but they all had a lot more miles in the price range I wanted to spend.  Maybe that will be my next one.

I literally grew up on bikes. Had a mini bike before I could pull start it. Had a Yamaha YZ100 when was around 8 or 9. Then moved up to my first new bike a Yamaha GT80. Then the street bikes last was a Suzuki GS1000. I love bikes however people dont care about you. I was almost ran over 2 times not a couple blocks from my house. The last time I took the hint. Sold the bike and have only thought about another. I do miss riding.

Congratulations on the bike and I really hope you and your friends are safe. Drivers now days scare me, no way in hell id ride with all these fools texting and doing drugs while driving. It was bad enough with the radio and inexperienced drivers.

I haven't seen one I wouldn't take!
My first was a '82 or '84 Honda FT 500 (Ascot).
That little thumper was a hoot! I'd ride a wheelie through first and second gears, touch down about halfway through third and was doing over 80 by the time I could look at the speedo. Those were originally built for flat track racing and you could tell it.

My boy scared me to death with it once. It had a battery draining issue, and I was coming home with groceries, planning to ride once I put them away. So I jumped it off, then started carrying in groceries and putting them away. It had one of those center stands instead of a kick stand.
I was in the middle of putting away the food and heard the engine revving. "What the hell?"
I went outside and this kid, around 6 at the time, was sitting on it revving the engine and the rear wheel spinning like crazy.
I got to him right about the time he rocked it backwards. The rear tire caught, kicked dirt and gravel all over me, the bike stood up and dumped him off at my feet before shooting forward about 30' TOWARDS THE HIGHWAY and fell over.

So of course I got him a dirt bike. First thing he did was plow into the front of the house, wedging it between the porch and a bush, broke a finger, got a nasty bruise across his gut, and dented the aluminum siding with his helmet.
Then he got back on as soon as I freed it from the bush.

Congrats on the new bike  ~c~  Enjoy the time with it.  Ride safe and watch out for those other AH drivers texting and talking on those phones.

Oh I agree fully!  I try to watch everything while riding esp at intersections.

Dang that would be scary!

Hahaha boys and wrecks they go hand and hand right?!

My oldest took a turn in a field to sharp and went over the bars on his little Yamaha 50.  Hasn't been back on since  lo  We have tried so hard but it scared the poo out of him at 6.  Now he is 12 and into skateboarding  ~b~
