I am in the process of buying a 2019 Tracker Pro Guide V-165WT and the package height leaves VERY little breathing room to get it into my garage.  I've looked at doing all kinds of things, and the most promising so far has been to lower the trailer tongue all the way to a floor jack to drop the high point a bit, but even with this, the clearance to the garage door would be hit or miss depending on how the boat is trailered each time.

I would love to give myself more clearance to make it easy to pull in and out of the garage.  I could replace my garage doors (old wooden solid doors that rotate in place) with a high lift track system to allow me to use the full height of the garage opening, but that would be super expensive.

On the boat side, realistically, if I could remove the walkthru windshield by modifying it to attach with quick disconnects, I would never have to worry about garage clearance, because I could remove the windshield before entering the garage and save a good foot.

Has anyone ever heard of anyone doing this?  I've seen it done on center consoles, but never on a full walkthru windshield.  Would love to see if anyone's done this before.

Thanks,
Brian

Welcome aboard Bmart!!! Pull up a seat, settle in with a couple of cold ones and wander through the site, I'm sure you'll find much to like. Don't forget to enter the New Members Contest, you could win a great prize.
As to your question; You could try Dzus fasteners, a 1/4 turn and they are loose, a 1/4 turn and they are tight, they've been used in racing and elsewhere for decades.
