I just figured out a way to bring back the life of an old dull bait. Use a Magic Eraser cleaning pad. Just wet the pad, gently scrub your bait and bingo! All the grime is gone! I liked that there was no smelly cleaner residue left on the bait. Just be careful not to hook yourself or take the hooks off first.

Before and after pics of the last bait that I did. Others were worse off.

Good reminder, a soft fingernail brush works well also.

Yup, the after pic is much brighter. This makes a bigger difference than I'd expect. Good to know.

Thanks for the tip, for those that didn't know the magic eraser also works well on cork grips.

Nice tip! I tend to let the bass clean it for me.

If you like doing that, go for it.  To me it seems compulsive!

Color purple is killer and hurts nothing. Apply and soak, polish with a rag.

Thanks for the tip.  Looks brand new.
Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?

Wait until the wife leaves and hang them in the dish washer. Works as well.
