Hi Mike.........I put a very small weight on it. (split shot)

Mike Cork

Do you put it close to the senko or up the line a bit? I know so many questions, but I just don't catch fish with a senko and am trying to figure it out. Seems like I do a lot of things wrong

If there is wind I use a weight, but its better without one, they fall better. I also learned this yr. to fish them slow. I was always too quick to retrive. I was having truble this yr. setting the hook too but found that its also me not keeping an eye on my line. I'm getting better! ;D good luck to you!

Fish Echo lake today for 3 hours.  Felt good to be back on the water.  I managed to catch 4 bass and some perch.  All the bass were keepers with one going around 3 1/2 pounds which was the first one I caught.  I caught all of them one my favoirte spring lure a jerk bait.  I was using a Lucky Craft Pointer 78 in Aurora gold.  They all came with the boat being in 12 feet of water and casting to the shore.  Fish all came out of about 6 feet of water.  Finally.

Hey Rob...You beat me there. Glad to hear you got out soo soon..Where did you put in? Is the water up?

Tritonrob

I put in at the State Ramp.  Yes water is plenty high

Tritonrob

Got back out this morning with a good friend for a few hours.  We absolutly with them up with jerk baits.  Got around 25 bass all keepers.  One weighing 6-1.  What a nice fish.  Was windy and water temp was 53.  All fish were caught on jerk baits in 7 feet of water.

Sorry guys fished Echo Lake today instead of entering the contest.....  ~shade I caught 2 keepers...One on a tube and one on a Senko that  ~sun was actually out, and NO  ~rain today......but there is more coming.......so now do you understand? I'll catch the contest on another Tue.

Tritonrob

What time were you out on the lake?  I was actually there till around noon time.  There was only one othe boat there while I was there was that you and your husband?

getthenet

No I work until 1pm.....We got out there about 3pm and fished until 6:30. You will see our Nitro at the dock on the campground side. We use it there and take our Ranger everyplace else. Sorry we missed you!

Tritonrob

Is the Nitro at the campground now?  I see one over there.  Ok so it was someonelse that was there.  I never got close enough to tell what type of boat it was.  Don't know when your planning on going back but the there are a lot of fish getting ready to move on beds at Echo.  Keep a close eye. They were really starting to move good when i left on Tuesday.  I almost called in sick lol.

getthenet

We want to stay there this weekend if the weather is ok.....We saw that too did you catch anything? See you on the lake!! Yes the nitro is there at my sons dock soon there will be another boat there too, and my grandchildren will be fishing off the dock too.

Tritonrob

I caught 5 fish early that were staging to go on the beds.  Then about noon is when i saw them moving up.  I caught 4 fish off the beds and new if I stayed or started looking harder for bedding bass  I wouldn't have went to work.

Mike Cork

Wow, I don't know if I would still have a job or not :roll2: If they were moving up I would have been on the hunt for a hawg. Thanks for the update ~c~

Mike I thought about it staying long and hard.  Since the new company took us over 22 people have been let go.  13 a week ago alone so with that in mind I went to work.

Mike Cork

:shocking: WOW  :shocking: Well the good news is that you are valuable to the company and after lay offs like that they sure are going to keep you  ~c~ Got to have a job to fish, at least until you make fishing your job  ;)

Hello....We stayed at Echo this weekend caught a few largest was 2.8 she came off a bed. Things were slow very slow. The weather we are having lately must be the reason. Fishing with the grandchildern was fun!!

Tritonrob

Weere you and your husband on the lake on Saturday?  If saw I saw you fishing around the island.  I got 4 off the beds and 7 others just off.  I worked a slob off the island that was on a bed for 2 hours never did get the fish to bite.

getthenet

Yes Rob we were out there Fri.,Sat. and Sun. What was you biggest catch? Were you in a tourney?

Tritonrob

No not in the tourney.  Didn't think it was fair because I ws there on Saturday.  I fish Sand Dam or Smith and Sayles on Sunday.  I got a 5-9 there on Saturday.
