Hope you like it. John tried some Crappie fillets on his but went back to cooking it in the fish cooked. He said it was OK but just not the same.  ;D

Yeah... I figured as much, but it's a healthier version than deep frying. We'll see how it tastes in a little bit.

Looks good, but taste is key.
Not much is better than deep fried fish/chicken, but the mess I could do without.

How was it?

We got one for Christmas also.  I haven't tried chicken in it yet.  Just fries so far but it worked out nice!

For being my first go around with the air fryer, the chicken came out pretty good. I have to tweek the cooking time a little bit and that will determine how "crispy" the chicken will come out next time I believe. As far as the taste, I prepped the chicken the same way I would have if I was frying it. All in all, I like this method of cooking. From caloric and clean up perspective, its lesser fat calories, and the clean up is faster than when with frying. Cooking time took 50 min's or so because I had to cook the chicken in 2 batches.

We have some friends that have one and they have mixed feelings about it.  They used it a lot when they first got it but the use time has gone way down.  Hardly ever use it any more.
Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?

I'm sure they are probably more healthy, but then, my Mama is 94 and doing great and she still uses lard! I think it's about everything else in life, , , , , ,  ~roflmao  ~roflmao

Lard is HEALTHY when compared to chemistry projects like Crisco. Pure-D fact. Lard is as natural as it gets, and since there ain't nothin' healthy about frying food, I'll stick to the natural stuff.

We don't fry our Chicken in our restaurant to cook it- we boil it for twenty minutes a few days ahead of time, then in the cooler it goes. To cook, we dip and bread, then in the fryer for about FOUR minutes. This gets it hot to (the JUICY) bone, and cooks and browns the breading. I'm told that this does make it a slightly healthier meal, plus there's no dry meat- the breasts are JUICY. Ask jfly...

Dale that looks and sounds good.  ;D Lou glad you liked it and if your concerned about the fat calories then this is a win for you. :-* But for me and my house bring on the Crisco  lo lo
