Spent 3 great days on the water with my buddy John this week. We caught over 150 fish on this trip with 20+ keeper size fish each day and many more small fish. Weather was great, clear skies mid 50's at night and upper 70's each day, water temps 68-72 with 2' visibility. Cranks baits, SK 3XD and a Bomber 6A, and Zoom speed worms, baby brush hogs and lizards were about all we could get a bite on. Found a creek with shad in 3-6' and the bass were on them in the middle of the day, early and later we fish drains and creek mouths in the main lake/river area. Best fish went 3.5 pounds but the sheer numbers we caught made up for the lack of size. Best trip to the Ferry in several years.
Retired and loving every minute of it!

Small spotted bass 10 to 11 inches long were everywhere feeding on shad, still fun though. Probably the most numbers we have caught there in 25 years.

The Ferry is a make it or break it place for sure, and when that sucker is on, it's fun!!  Good trip!
