wind starting to blow around here the last couple days.  Maybe, just maybe fall is starting to come around.  Normally, during the summer its still unless there is rain.  Bluebird skies the last couple days and some good gusts with a steady breeze.

Maybe Dorian related but also could be the first signs of fall

saw my first blood red leaves floating in the lake yesterday.  temps may not feel like it, but trees are starting to drop the first leaves.  it's coming.  but is fall REALLY here before the matts top out and we're froggin' the 'cheese'?

We have leaves changing colors and falling, but they burn to ash before they hit the ground. Been over 100 since June and still hasn't let up. Haven't had rain in 3 weeks :'(

It's going to be awesome to be NORTH of here even if it's only a little ways north...

Mike, historical averages for Guntersville the first couple weeks of October indicate a high of just about 80 and a low just below 60.  After a southern summer it will sure feel like a welcome fall.  Hope it turns out that way.

Well I just cancelled our last football game, so I should be able to make it down a bit earlier on Thursday.  Thought I would be rolling in around midnight before, so hopefully I will leave earlier.

Guys, Don't forget TNDiver needs a back seat for the rally.

Here's a serious question, as the G. Rally approaches. Will I be able to bring on board the plane a few HB frogs? I have been reading that fishing lures are ok to bring on your carry on if the lures are packaged and wrapped securely. But... HB frog hooks can be considered big hooks, and I'm rolling the dice dealing with the TSA ? You guys think I will be ok bringing my frogs?

Mail them to me and I will make sure they get used at G-ville.  lo Seriously I don't fly so I have no idea.

Lou don't bring any hooks, any cutters or anything. Some stuff is allowed but the people working at security can use their discretion. It's not worth getting into a situation where you begin getting questions and have to submit to the algorithm. There's lots of good guys who have lots of stuff and just budget a few bucks to grab some stuff there.

good sweatshirt weather for at least the start to the day.  with the 'on plane wind chill' it's good to be prepared!

Or I could just drink in the boat and be the official Net Guy and watch for naked sun bathers on the shore!

they'll go through checked baggage just fine.  TSA?  don't know.
