Went out to US 27 right before holey lands entrance with an old high school friend.Started the day throwing a Stanley ribbit got a few fish on that, than switched over to a senko got a few on that, lost a good fish between 3-4 lbs at the boat, broke off  using Berkley vanish now I know why the call it vanish, won't be using that anytime soon, went over to zoom speed worm got a few more on that,my buddy and I ended that day with 16 between us all were about a pound,it was nice fishing something different than lox thanks Lou for telling me about 27.

Glad you found some fish.
Thanks for the report!

I use vanish 8lb. I don't think I have had any issues with it. It is a thin diameter line so I am careful with it. Specifically use it for finesse applications and treat it as such.

Yeah that's a no go with Fluoro unless you are using some thicker diameter stuff.
I wouldn't go and say Vanish is awesome line though. I do prefer Trilene 100% Pro Grade Fluoro which Big G turned me on to a couple months ago.

Yeah I saw her near the boat and got all excited try to muscle her in so after that I got a few more fish on senko with fluorocarbon and was gentler.

Recommend Yozuri Hybrid or PLine FlouroClear. A little more stretch than 100% flouro but both are great otherwise. The only 100% flouro I use is Yozuri Pink leader as a leader when fishing flukes.

Absolutely. I wont be targeting for big fish, but rather taking my lighter rigs to play around. Hopefully the Cichlids are plentiful.

Nice report. I've had the same results with Vanish and thrown all mine away.

I was tying a knot with it one time and it broke when I tightened it that right there should have told me not to use it, live and learn.

I'm going to give that Pline a try see how that goes if I have any problems with that I'm just going to go back to monofilament for my Senko, everything else I use braid

Yeah, but in the recent pass there were oscars all over freaking place. You had to figure out how to get past the oscar to target bass. But right now, like you said, you will see the occasional oscar hanging around some cover, but that's it.

Hey, I'm not complaining.  lo lo
