I've been at Lake Anna all week for family vacation so I've taken as much time as allowed kayak fishing. I caught this 17" large mouth around 4pm along the tree lines in fisherman's cover, probably 7ft of water. Didnt have a scale so I have no idea on weight. Caught on a wacky rigged senko. Its the only luck I've had all week. Reports said they were running around 15ft but couldn't get bites on anything I brought. Plastics on the edge got the most attention.

Nice pretty looking fish.  Congrats on the catching
Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?

Ron is right; that fish is a beautiful green, with nice fins and tail. Way to stick with it.

Don't get discouraged... Anna is a fickle one, she knows how to humble ya.  I've fished that lake a handful of times and just this year had a day that you might actually talk to someone about.  I think I put 5 in the boat, with the biggest being about 2 lbs.

There are some BIG fish in that lake, I know it... problem is, they're smarter than me so I have no tangible proof lol.
