I really don't like to be called anything that can be related to age:
Young Lady is one of the worst!
Grandma is right up there with it!!!
And Ma'am was the first title that made me feel old! The only and I do mean only time I want to hear it is when the boys are saying "Yes Ma'am" right after I ask them a question or ask them to do something 

In here mom, Laurie or MotherNature will work just fine

I was raised that way too, I say it to young women also because respect is meant and is given till it's it doesn't apply, Mother, it applies to you but as per your request I'll call you Laurie. By the by, you're a young chick to me!!!
