The Weathermen got it wrong once again.  LOL.  Almost like how JR Smith of the Cleveland Cavs dribbled the clock out in regulation of Game 1 of the NBA Finals.  Sorry to digress.

Once down at Duffy's, anglers were ready to roll. It's almost like waiting for a Fed or UPS package from your favorite Tackle dealer.  Can you say chomping at the bit?

Today, 9 SJHT members came out to battle and unfortunately had to deal with some stranglers running down the upper Chesapeake from the always busy Anchor Marine NorthEast River Flats Tournament.

With forecasted sporatic thunder storms and lightening for later in the AM, anglers anglers wanted to catch there Limits early in case the Tournament was cut short.  Everyone knows the Cell Reception is not always the best in these neck of the woods, but I was able to communicate with my TD to check status on the latest weather changes which had things delayed till after 1pm....which would have pretty much allowed us to fish the entire 8hr tournament.

Without further adieu....Please give a big shout out to second tournament in a row Rob "The Sass is becoming my New CASA"  M. for taking 1st place with 3 Bass weighing an impressive 9.78lbs2nd Place was won by Bill *Champlain will do wonders for your confidence level" Troop C. . with 3 Bass going 8.01lbs. Summary: Shout out to the 9 SJHT anglers that came out on a very hot, humid, and steamy day.  There were some Big Bass caught.  Some that broke anglers off...not 1....not 2, but almost 3 times.
Water temps were a little High but then again, it is June.  We really couldn't ask for a better day to be on the water.  Boat traffic I think was kept to a minimal due to the bad weather forecasted....which didn't occur.

7 out of 9 Anglers caught at least 1  Bass.  There were a total of 13 Bass caught overall giving way to a total of 36.88 lbs.  The avg. weight of each Bass went 2.84lbs.  Slightly down from our last tournament out of Anchor Marine where 2.93lbs was the avg.

Jiggen Den's Lunker 4.32lbs proved to out best Rob's 3.47lb Lunker and even Troops Lunker which went 3.76lbs.  There were a total of 3 Limits caught. The Bass were healthy in girth and met the 15" size/cull limit.

Next up is ASSUNPINK LAKE, in 2 Weeks which re-opens our New Jersey 2018 Bass Fishing Tournament season.
