Gravois arm today- the lake came up two feet in three hours this morning from torrential rains (YAY!), and Bagnell won't release much water because of Memorial Weekend. Lots of debris in some areas.

Water temp around 75 degrees, except cooler in the runoff waters.

Visibility 4-6', stained to muddy water in the back of the larger creeks, already clearing some like it always does.

Beds were few and far between- the water rising messed the last spawners up some, although interestingly enough I found some Kentuckys spawning.

I didn't do a lot of fishin' (working the bugs out of my new motor) but the bite is way on in the backs of spawning pockets on topwaters (I threw a Spook). A Fluke would have been ideal. Also caught 'em on a swim jig around docks just before you get to the backs.

There ya go.

Great to hear you're back on the big water

Water rising that fast is going to screw with the spawn but I've found that it helps save the fry and future years are great

Good going, Sir. I'll be at the 12mm of the Osage from from the 29th to the 9th. I'm passing on the holiday for the first time in years. Too dangerous to fish, to use the cruiser and too many people. I'll be fishing from 6-9 am and in the evening. The bass should have moved back to the mouth of the cove and to the shad schools on the drops. I'll have a swim jig tied and on deck--along with a Rattl-Trap, jig worm and 8-10 inch grub. And, of course, a Joey Watts jig in one of my custom colors.

Sounds good. I'll put you up front and I'll relax on the back deck. A few hours at a time is all I fish nowdays. I'm tied up with county officials for a couple of days. I'll call you when I'm finished.
