This winter my father and I began an overhaul of our Tracker 1436. It had been sitting in the yard for a while and I couldn't stand looking at it not being used. After much trial and error, head scratching, elbow grease, and even a little blood, I finally got to put her on the water today. She performed almost flawless. Me and a buddy took her out to centennial for a few hours in the morning and boated over 30 fish between us. All small but still a great day. The boat is a 1436 Tracker Topper. We used 2x4 aluminum beam for the framing, 1/4" aluminum plate for the  front deck, and 1/2" resin coated plywood for the rear deck. We wrapped the decks and bench seats with boat carpet. I put a 24v 65lb thrust Minn Kota Maxxum on the bow, a Lowrance hook 5 on the bow, and just an old 12v 30lb MK we had on the transom. Here's a few pics of the transformation. I also want to give a shoutout to Kris for all of his help and advice along the way, thank you friend! Tight Lines!

Woohoo! There ya go! Now you can use the kayak when you want and the boat when you want to take a Friend.
No problem on the help. I'm just glad it all worked out in the long run. Have fun and catch some more fish.

Very nice.  Looks as good as factory.
Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?

That was my first thought too Ron. Like straight out of the factory.

Thank you all! I picked up a very clean and well maintained 15hp Evinrude tiller motor off of craigslist. That's when the real fun will start.

I really miss my little 12 footer with 15hp motor. I had a lot of fun in that boat as I am sure you will as well.

Looks great. My first boat ,a 14' sears Gamefisher flat bottom, I did the same thing to- added carpet panels to it and put A Jetco ElectraPal Bow mount motor on it, rear power was thorough a Shakespeare Wondertroll, and my fishfinder was a Garcia Electro Sonic. Spent 4 years fishing Rocky Gorge and Triadelphia from it, good times.
