I hope this is of some help to somebody.

Fished a 2 acre pond this afternoon. I didn't take a temperature reading, but I will from now on because the water temp is so critical this next week or so.

I caught maybe seven bass over four pounds, all full of eggs. The shorter females were round also.

I had several weird bites that are indicative of pre-spawn fish that are getting very, very close. Several of my fish had minor rubbing on their tails- it's what they do just before they actually go on the nest.

We have a full moon next Sunday. I look for fish in some smaller bodies of water to begin some actual spawning as early as tomorrow, but watch out come Friday and Saturday.

Water temps today 56-58 degrees, and some fish were workin' in tight, and chasin' some bream. Getting very close.
