In the past most of my jigs have been the 3/8 oz variety.  Now I am thinking about going a bit heaver in an effort to cut down a bit on the current drift that happens here on the river.  Using a 3/8 especially with a trailer it seems to get impacted by the subsurface current and by the time it gets to the depth I want it has moved quite a distance.  So as I am making my selection this time I am moving to the 1/2 oz variety of the NuJig Elite plus some 1/2 oz swim jigs and some 1/2 oz crazy blitz.  I am not sure my thinking is sound but I do believe I want the bait to stay down and move when I want it to move.  If this does not work then I might have to consider 3/4 oz on the next order.  Hopefully I am making a proper decision about this weight change.

Bud,

Go ahead and order a few 3/4 now. Current can move much heavier weights than you can imagine.
