Fished Bistineau ABA Tournament 31 March 2018, Hadn't been on Bistineau in right at two years... With the rising water it made things pretty tough for most. I caught several bass but all were small bucks and culled my way to almost nine pounds  :surrender: But it was good for third. Second place had a little over a half a pound more than me. But get this, while we were all catching buck bass, the first place guy was catching the ladies and weighed in over 22 pounds :shocking: putting the smack down on us all from the top rope...

Call all my fish on frogs early and then culled through the day pitching beavers to deeper trees along creek channels, just never found a big bite. I heard rumor that there were still a few big females on the banks but with the lake conditions (flooded underbrush from the lake being low for so long) you had to know where to go and I hadn't been out there in so long I was fishing history.

Water was high, not sure how much, I'd guess a foot. Temp was 64-68 on my gauges, partly cloudy sky with a mild south breeze. Water color varied, wasn't really muddy but definitely stained, some places more than others. Fishing was great, catching was okay...
