Wizard,
I didn't want to drag the drop shot thread of track, so I've made this new thread to discuss.

I did not know there were bass in Korea. I only learned 2 years ago there were bass in the southern part of Africa. I hope fishing in Korea isn't as expensive as in Japan. I took a business trip to Japan. When I heard people were bass fishing, I got the urge. I asked where I could find a guide. The cost prohibited me from fishing. The cost to fish is so high, the guides are really taking clients so THEY have enough money to fish for a day. Now I understand why the Japanese come here to fish competitively.

Northern strain bass (and bluegill) were introduced into Korea in the late 60's/early 70's.
From that time until now, the bass have taken over the entire country.

As far as I know, Japan has both Northern and Florida strain bass, but Korea only has Northern strain.

I do not know of any guides here in Korea for bass fishing, but if you or any other UB members are ever in Korea for any reason, drop me a line and I will get you on the water if possible.

In terms of tackle and boats, etc, yes, Korea is very expensive, probably equal to Japan.

If you ever retire from what you do now you could always become a full time guide and solve that problem for South Korea.  :-*

Only trouble with that plan Smallie is that guides are supposed to know how to catch bass   ::)
