Launched from the state park about 0900 following some light rain and drizzle. I mainly explored and marked some locations for a later visit. Water surface temps up in the mouth of the Roanoke River were in the mid to high 40s with steady light winds.  Other areas I visited were running 51-52. Water ranged from light stain to a bit murky in coves and shallow points. Skies cleared but new clouds moved in and darkened as temperature dropped. Wind picked up, rain moved in, I moved out.

Thanks for the report!!!

We're getting there... it was almost 80 up here on Thur, then yesterday started great and that cloud cover and rain moved in and the temps dropped.   Not much longer now.  Cherry Blossoms should be budding up the beginning of next week which usually means the Crappie are in spawn and the bass tend to come shortly after.

Not even a dink. Might have done something if I'd put my line in the water before the weather started picking up. Felt mighty good just getting out there though.

I bet it did and I can't wait till the weather warms up around here and the grounds isn't real muddy so I can reach some of my better fishing spots with my lawn chair strapped to my back since AI can't stand for very long.
