What the F?

First time in the history of the club that back to back weeks yielded only 1 angler weighing in a Bass.  I'm still scratching my head on this one.  If I could put this into words, I would but I'm really at a loss.

Thanks again to the diehard and dedicated anglers that came out and hung out for a few hours trying to get a Keeper in the boat.  Way to go men!

Rainbow Lake is normally pretty good this time of the year.  Not sure what hit us!

On Sunday, 10 SJHT members and 1 guest came out to redeem themselves from last weeks showing.  Unfortunately, it was almost the same results.  Without further adieu....

Please give a big shout out to David *Easy Money* Snedeker for taking 1st place, 2nd Place, and Lunker with 2 Bass weighing 4.84lbs.  Yeah.... Like Dan last week.... David pulled a hat trick and won everything!  Daves Lunker went a Nice 3.81lbs

Dave S. also was the Misc. Winner with a 4.47lb Pickeral.
What a way to start the 2018 Season!!!!

RAINBOW LAKE TALE OF THE TAPE:

1st Place, 2nd Place, & Lunker 2 Bass Limit:

Daves 4.47lb winning Pickeral.

Other views from the water and the cold front with snow/sleet/rain falling as we fished.

Summary:  So what have we learned in the last 2 weeks?  Fishing in between multiple NorEasters and snow storms can have an impact on NJ largemouth Bass populations and the like.  Not only do the other species somewhat go dorment but they develop lock jaw and dont want to cooperate.  When i say anglers brave the conditions and stay out on the water longer than anticipated, they out did themselves.  Heck i was looking to bale around 10am.  Lol.
Well....this was not Much of a summary but momma always said, "What doesn't kill you....will always make you stronger" and with that..that's all i have.  Congrats once again to Dave S.

Next up is NEWTON LAKE    IN 2 WEEKS.

Tightlines,
