Nice catch and Start taking pics with you in it. Dobyns would like pics of bigguns caught on their rods.

Do the rods have to be in the pics?  I have a few but don't think the Dobyns rod is in the pics.

A friend of mine caught an almost 8 lb. on a Champion 733.  The rod isn't in the pic, but the fish and the reading on the scale is.

I have submitted pics without the rod.

No bass 6 mos. ago and now you have that many rods ... Dobyns rods to boot ... yeah, you're hooked.

Congrats on the new PB, and her little sister!

Congrats on a nice fish and thanks for sharing the story and picture.
Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?

Well, about a month ago I bought a refurbished Champion 764cb rm and have been fishing it a ton with lipless crankbaits on the lake from the bank.  Amazing rod, by the way.  I caught a bunch during the shad spawn the last few weeks and today although it was slow, I got a new p.b. 7.92lber!

I got a sense he was a decent size after hooking into it a few seconds in and loosened my drag and that bad boy was pulling like a mack truck on the surges.  Definitely felt like a different class than the 5lbers and was the longest, most challenging battle I've had yet.   Took my time landing it, and had to get in the water to steer the fish away from the bank and some exposed rocks.  Finally wore it out, got a picture, weight, and a nice release on the fish along with a new p.b. on another Dobyns rod to start my Friday morning off right.
