April 2018 UB IBASS tourney official thread

April 2018 UB IBASS TOURNAMENT starts Sunday April 1st.

We are excited to get everyone involved in a fun fishing contest.
Lets start seeing lots of fish pics and see how you compare to some of these big sticks we have around here.
This year there will be two zones and two AOY, Cool casters and Hot Rodders. Hot Rodders are in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and California. Cool casters are every where else.
Please let me know what zone you are in.
Top three from each zone compete in the Classic in October.
Everyone else can have fun in our first team tourney in October.
Please have fun, and have a good time. This was created with you in mind. If you agree with rules and the terms of our club, all you have to say and submit are the words " I'm in" and where you are.

The southern part of the state is much better than the northern. Unfortunately I'm in the Northern haha. Its all trout, trout, and more trout here. But there's a few select areas with bass. But it's usually dink city out here. A 15" bass is a darn good one.
I'm in it for the fun! Just would like it if spring would show its face sometime soon!

Tips from one of last years competitors.


Tips:
1. One thing I learned last year is if you use the metal measuring sticks with engraved numbers and its faded take a Sharpie and trace the marks and numbers and they are much easier to see in a picture. 

2. Always measure every fish till you limit out no matter what. If you catch more and any are longer you can always cull keeping your longest 5.

3. I recommend not to use Photobucket as they seem to not want to share pictures at will. I have had great success with IMGUR and others have used many other free picture hosting.
Tapatalk is a great one.
