Traveling to St. John’s river in Florida with my old man. Need help!

Hey guys me and my dad are planning a trip down to the St. John's in Florida. Just need some advice on where to start. Best place to put our boat in, lodging etc. We leave feb 22nd. Would prefer not to go much farther south than lake George. Really want to show my old man a good time and get him on some fish so any advice is much appreciated. Thanks guys!
