I did not mention I have Sierras and champions and the Sierra series is the best buy for the dollar. My Sierra 734 is my favorite Dobyns by far. Far more versatile of a rod, now I love my champions but they are all more specific in their techniques.

That's good to know about the sierras, usually when I buy a new product I try to go with the middle price point of whatever it is I'm buying if I'm new to the product. most of the time like in this case it works out great. Also it leaves me room to grow at a later point if needed. I ended up getting 3 Dobyns rods for the new year and I have fished with one for a couple of days but already can tell you there will be more coming later. Here is my setups I got so far
1. Sierra 734c paired with a curado k in 7.4.1.  30lb power pro
2. Sierra 735c paired with a curado k in 8.5.1.  50 lb power pro
3. Champion  xp 735 cb glass with a curado k in 6.2.1 with 30 lb power pro
I think these will cover every technique I'm using now and the ones I want to learn in the future
Once I get better at those techniques then I may swap out rods or add rods to better present the techniques I truly like fishing.
Thanks again to you and everyone for putting up with my noob questions and actually giving solid advice
And Not just blowing it off with do a web search or some other remark like some do on other forums 👍

Excellent combos you picked. With those three set ups there is not much you can't do.

I agree those would do well for me where I fish.

Up till a day or so ago I was still thinking I might should have picked up a Curado K when Monster had them on sale. Seems those that have them like them.

Make sure you come back and give us a run down on what you like or dislike after fishing them.
