Lake Martin Q's

My club is planning an away trip, and we are trying to go to a lake/river that we have never been to before.  One club member suggested Lake Martin. We are from Biloxi, MS are looking to not travel more than about 4 1/2hrs. We will be going during the first week of April.
Are there any nice campgrounds with cabins to stay at?
Which ramp to use if we go?
How's the fishing?
Should we go to a different lake?
We just want to catch decent numbers. We are not searching for the catch of a lifetime.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. We are voting on which lake to go to at our next meeting.

I've heard great things about the lake but unfortunately I can't safely answer your questions. Hopefully someone will come along soon. If not call a couple guides on the lake. They will know the best places to stay and what the fish will be doing.
