Fix for broken zipper tab

Busted the pull tab on my boot zipper but I found a fix that worked well enough I broke off the tab on the other boot and did the same thing 😜. Find a strong key ring and feed it through the hole in the zipper clasp works better then the tab because you can put your finger in the rig and you won't slip off while using it

Good one Fogy and I see where you could use this on any zipper you have cauce sooner or later them pull tabs break off.

Good tip Ron. I have a bag I use when on my road trips with some large split rings where the zipper pull tabs used to be. They're a bit smaller than most key rings, but big enough to grab when opening & closing the zipper. I think they're a size 6 or 8 heavy split ring I use on some big Striper lures.

Ron tks for sharing this.  Back in the day I used to pickup Handgreande and Smoke grenade  pull rings for this same purpose.  They worked real good on that OD Green Wet Weather Jacket and Field Jacket we all got issued

GREAT TIP!

I carry multiple softsider tackle bags.
Most have dual Zippers and EXTREMELY SMALL zipper tabs....making them a pain in the arse at night, dawn and dusk............well, if your ME.........ANYTIME! 

I am now in the process of gathering all the key tabs I have and will BE REPLACING ALL THE ZIPPER TABS on them!

All the ones I've used I didn have time or the presence of mind to grab them LOL would have liked vex to have a couple from in country oh well. We used to grab the nose pins off bombs and put them on our keep rings.
