Walmart sells a pack of 250 o-rings for less than $2. You find them in the hair care aisle.

Yelp you found the tips spot and this is a good one . Not to many men I know would think to look in the hair section at Wall Mart to find O Rings for their wacky worm fishing.  ~c~

Great tip thebassingirl.  ~c~

I use the rubber bands to tie up my treble hooks when not in use. I've found some for about the same deal that are perfect size in the craft section of Walmart.

I used to use rubber bands too but they can get brittle and crack or even stick to the bait depending on the type of plastic. For what I do now check out my tip here:

That's a great tip. I have a bag of o rings, but will try to keep that in mind.  ~c~

Being that I tie fishing flies, and some rather large, there have been various hair products, mostly for women, that I've discovered have some uses for me. I bought some long synthetic hair extensions, that are great for making big baitfish flies, and could be used on jigs. I buy some clear nail polish too, Sally Hansens Hard As Nails, that works better than most fly shop cements for a thread finish on flies & jigs.

I know several fly tyers who paint their popping bugs with nail polish too, since they come in a wide array of colors. Colors not usually found with paints.

Of course, some men have a hard time with buying these things, so may have to get a girl friend or spouse to buy them.  ::)

Great tip!

I also use Hard as Nails for my fly tying.

I also use florescent nail polish for sealing rod wrappings.  I also wrap the tip of my rods and seal with a bright nail polish so it is easier to see the rod tip bend when still fishing.
