Folks I know many of you are tapped out. I get it, it's Christmas and we have to buy gifts for our families, all on a budget that if your like me is already very tight.

But I just added everything up and we are at $1800 even

As awesome as that is, I would love to break $2k before the deadline. $200 is just 10 people giving twenty bux. If you've already given, THANK YOU, if you can find one more 20 dollar bill over the next week we sure could use it.

If you haven't been able to give, I do completely understand that this is a bad time of year to ask for money, but this family needs it's bad. We can change their world...

Folks $20 goes a long way for a family let Wendy's. We think nothing of it. But she can put together a meal that they can eat off of for three days on that "Just $20". Cajuns have a way with this LOL

Many forum software's have admin tools allowing for a mass letter to members. Not positive if Simple Machines does its been a long time since I was on the back side of this software.

Umm no lol it just send a email or PM to registered members of the forum. Usually it let's you pick groups like say Charter Members and it will send what ever letter you create to all the members of that group.

Only a administrator would have the ability to do it. If indeed this software even has that capability.

Steve, you are absolutely correct.  I used V Bulletin and it had the capability and you are also right the it picked the address from the members file.  Like you I don't know about this platform.

I think it's only spam when it's done for profit or repeatedly. This is clearly a charitable deal and a rarely used tool by UB administrators.

Spam to me also comes like daily or multiple times weekly or monthly to where you no longer open it. I'm sure everyone has email that they delete on site of the sender.

Mother might like that better. A full on blitz attack is really hard to get her to do. I agree with everything said here about spam, it's not spam, we've done it twice in over twenty years

yelp I don't recall to many times when Mom did an all out blitz and send out mass emails . Let me know if mom's ok with me doing the PM thing and I can get started right away. After all it's to cold up here to go fishing and the water is starting to get hard so I got nothing better to do.

As far as I'm concerned this project is important enough that everyone can survive a little discomfort. And any way, fried "spam" is pretty tolerable.
