I don't trust my local Post Office and I wouldn't put it past someone there to have seen the Adopt A Family written on the envelope and opened it and cashed the money order for themselves.

I'm going to contact Western Union and have them see if someone else cashed the money order. I want to send some more next week but I'm leery now. I will try sending that one from Pay Pal but you know my past troubles with them.

I truly apologize both to the family receiving the funds and to the UB community for the delay but I WILL get to the bottom of this.

No it hasn't showed up I really expected it Monday but no luck. Don't sweat it. Follow up and make sure no one cashed it, maybe it got stuck in a conveyor belt and I'll see it soon.

Seriously, mail is slow this time of year.  I mailed a small package to Florida.  It was supposed to take three days, and it took eight!

I told the person on the phone to forget it cause if I was going to spend $15 dollars I would rather give the money to the family in need.

I learned a good lesson from this though. If I have to do money orders in the future it will be all Postal money orders. They cost an extra $1.50 more than the Western Union ones do but you can track them yourself online for free.

We got a couple more donations over the weekend. First is D.W. Verts has donated a third time. Not sure if he doesn't remember he's already donated  Just kidding he knows and is a very giving man, thank you so much Mr. Verts. You are a great example of what Christmas is all about.

I just added things up and with Scott's donation we just hit $1000.


This is awesome but I know we can hit $1500. Ron told me yesterday he is putting the spell check and finishing touches on the bio describing family that was chosen by the Ultimate Bass Moderators.

When we get the bio posted, grab a tissue before reading it. They are hurting pretty bad and truly need all the help we can give them. If we can cover a house payment and some funds to get some Christmas Cheer, not only will it help them start the winter but it will lift their souls. Everyone should be happy and worry free at least for Christmas Day! Your donations, when added together, gives them hope to start the new year.

So spread the word, get your co-workers to buy tickets, get your family to slip you $20 to buy tickets (you don't have to tell them they won  ) One year I'd love to break 2k but I had a late start this year. Doesn't mean we can't make it though
