Fished the dock with no luck like normal tonight. Ugh worst lake ever lol

Got a few fishing trips planned though so I am looking forward to them at least.
Bring the yak and fish Lowery. The gate is open during the day and you can park at my house. Just let me know when you are coming so I can let Amy know there will be people in the yard.

I was thinking about starting one of these competitions myself in my area next year.  Just looking for pointers on how to make the rules and such.  How long have you all been doing this?  What drove the drastic rule change in the middle of the year?
Caddy, PM sent.

Wait, is that a spinning rod?

<")))>{
Yes it is. I have a few spinning rods. I bought a MH Avid x and wasn't to happy with its cast distance on the lures and baits I throw since mostly my spinning gear is for more finesse presentations.
It did handle those two 23" fish at Kissimmee really well though lol.
But I wanted something with a little more flex and I think this 704 is going to be perfect. It's not a noodle by any means but it does flex more than the Avid x.
I know you aren't a fan of spinning gear but in my arsenal it's got its place. I'm not willing to spend 400 on a baitcaster to throw super light stuff. Plus when it's extra windy from the bank and I know I'm casting against the wind that day the spinning gear comes out to play.

Deadeye

Thanks for all the Job Loss comments guys, but this was a Temporary Gig to start with and just ended sooner than planned. Things never did go like they were supposed to anyway right from the start.

Lee you are so right. Back in 2009 when I lost best job I ever had, one that I planned to retire from, I thought about what to do. I had always been working since before I left highschool and decided to take some time off. Went back to work after about 2 years and was enjoying what I did, a lot less pressure than the old job but a lot less pay too, when my back did it's thing.

I followed the drs and attorneys instructions and filed for Disability and after that whole 3+ years pordeal got denied anyway. Ok with me.

This job was just to sort of get my feet wet again and see just how much my back could handle. I found out it could handle a lot more than the Drs all said. Truth is I feel better after working again, just have to watch sometimes how I lift things.

What I'll do now I'm not sure. I passed up a job I think I wold of liked in order to do this one that I promised my SIL I would help him do. Truth is at this point in my life I have a hard time working for someone else, I like to do things right and not many places want that anymore. All the want is fast. Doesn't matter if you have to re-do it 6 times just do it fast each time. BS.

Not sure what I might do, but think I might start something of my own again. Had businesses in the past and left them go. At least that way I get to sleep with the Boss's wife. LOL.

So anyone fishing this week?

Hopefully Lake O on Saturday. Sure hope this cold front doesn't bring wind with it.

Guess it's not that exciting though since I actually do it more than once a year though.
