Yeah, I haven't been able to relax at Quiet Waters thanks to that food stamp crap. People pulling up in Cadillacs on 2k rims and other decked out luxury cars "Hey, eyes gots no money n needz sum ov dat ebt." (Yes, that's how stupidly retarded they sound...) Sad when you can really tell who needs help and who just fakes it, yet they're gonna get free stuff anyways.

I want my damn fishing hole back you system moochers!!! Rant over.

Tropical Park was loaded with Lexus, BMW's, Audi's and all the other luxury brands. It amazes me how ridiculous people can be. Instead of those that actually need the help getting help, we are giving to those that don't need it. It really pisses me off. My guess is at least 50% of the people waiting in those lines for food stamps don't actually need them.

Is this from the Hurricane? Cause I want some free food lol jk. But I need a new roof still!

Deadeye

Just because the car looks nice doesn't mean they have money. Learnt that years ago from a trainer I had for OTR Truck Driving. He lived in NC and showed me some of the houses or should I say shacks that people lived in, yet had a big ole shiney car in the yard. "A mans got to look good when he goes to town".

When I say shacks, I mean shacks. Made of tin and scrap metal. I thought they were for animals to get out of the weather until he told me no, people lived there.

The wife and kids were running around in clothes that would of done better for rags but Daddy had a shiney car and wore rings and gold chains with his fancy suit.

I had a hard time believing that a man would treat his family that way, but that's the way some folks live.

BarryFL

Then they should sell the car, if they're that hungry.

Yeah this is hurricane irma relief for people that lost their food due to the power outages and stuff. :-/
Also those that were out of work for a few days.

They may not have money, but if you can afford to drive around in a new luxury car then they don't need food stamps from the gubment. Period.
There are always exceptions. Just not that many of them.
If you want to own a luxury car upwards of 40K and you want to live in a shack then by all means go for it. Just don't go around asking for hand outs.

PoPo ... As far as the fishing goes, yeah, these EBT locations really disrupted our fishing opportunities this past week. As far as the Socio-economic topic we are discussing, let's move on. The good news is, if you all want to to continue discussing the topic I strongly urge you to start the thread on the GS forum.  :)

Thanks, Lip. I was due. I don't like having to throw a Hail Mary on the last day.

SFL BassHunter

Nice piggies, Tress!

But you best keep that Hail Mary in your back pocket. There's plenty of days left this month, and I'm far from done.   ~shade

Oh, I've already got you penciled in for 110! At this point, I'm feeling fortunate to get 100. It's not the same as last season. My lakes are in a down cycle right now. Also, last month's Hail Mary was to get 100, not necessarily for passing you to get second. It wouldn't have hurt my feelings one bit if you had gotten a buzzer beater to win.

Deadeye

Got my hours in for the week, so heading out to see if I can find any fish.

My choices of places to go up here is very limited, due to the high water the River is still shut down. I last tried at one of my smaller lakes I fish and it was getting pounded by boats I've never seen there before. Guess everyone else is trying to find somewhere to fish as well.

Good luck Fred
