Hey guys what's up?

This job sure keeps me hopping and worn out when I get home! At least it only lasts for about 4 months or so. I am hoping to get out and fish tomorrow morning for a few hours.

Next week I'm heading out to Mobile AL on Monday then building 4 stores in 4 days and coming home from somewhere in LA on Saturday.

Talk about throwing this old man into the fire! After being retired and not working for 5 years to busting it 45-55 hours a week or more is quite a change. Depending on how things pan out I might consider doing it again next year or just find a PT Job working 3 days a week all year long. Both have their advantages.

Heck of a Job on winning last month Tress, and a great start to this month.

After things get back to normal we need to get together, we're not that far apart.
Hey, Fred. Sorry I didn't reply right away. Yes, let's definitely get together soon.

Fished tamiami trail today for a couple of hours. Keeping an eye on some thunderstorm to the west. Couldn't get to the area I like with more vegetation because of it. All I could manage today was this little fella

I've been watching this and pray that it don't hit y'all head on. A Cat 5 is nothing to joke about so if they say to get out just do it . If not do everything you can to survive after it has passed.

I will be watching the advisories today, tomorrow's advisories are going to really tell us the what's really going to happen. Nonetheless we are going to be impacted somehow. How bad? We will see soon enough.

I hear you Lou just keep your eye on the advisories and prepare ahead of time and leave if they tell you too and you should be OK.

I'm inland Lip. The Keys have been told to evacuate, and Miami Bch may be ordered to do the same by tomorrow. Schools are closed after tomorrow. Next few days are going to be intense and no one is taking this storm lightly. The entire state FL is going to be effected.

Good to know your inland but like you said the whole state is going to be effected somehow. Will just have to keep an eye on it to see which way it goes before y'all will know just how much of an effect it will have on you.

Hey gang... I just wanted to wish all of you spread across the state, much luck. We are all going to be effected by this storm in some way or another. Be safe through out this  process.

We did a little prepping. Picked up lawn items and such. Got some water, food, filled the truck up. Gonna fill the RV water tank and bath tubs and washing machine for potable water like flushing the toilets and such. We are on city water so hopefully we won't have to worry like Charlie when the family well was useless without power. We also have a generator that runs on propane tied into our house. So we will have power, at least for a little while. The stove and hot water heater run off gas also so we can cook.

Now two days of work and more prepping on Friday.

Oh and grab some cash guys. So you can buy gas and stuff if the debit machines are down.

Stay safe everyone!

cport

Bought gas and water, also looking to book a room somewhere in Georgia that is refundable. Good idea on the cash thing too. Also, part of my prep is to fish Thursday. You know how the bite picks up before a big storm!

All of you in south Florida be safe. Looking now like just a little wind and rain for Tampa. I'm going to try and fish Saturday and/or Sunday and see if the approaching weather turns them on. I bought water, charcoal, batteries, propane and camping food (viennas, saltines, spam, chips, etc...) last Saturday ahead of the rush so I'm good to go should it get nasty.

If any of you end up in Tampa area, let me know. I can offer you shelter, food and beer.

Thanks Barry!! Mighty kind of you. Best of luck fishing. I'm jealous!! I have always wanted to fish before a big storm, but this storm requires all hands on deck.  ~bb ~bb

Well out work trip we cut short. We were in Baton Rouge LA when they wanted us to stay another day and do the 3rd store before heading the 11+ hr drive home, oh and home we get there in time to take care of our homes.

The Boss told them he wasn't happy about that so they told us to finish this store and head home. We made it to Tallahassee when we pulled in for the night at 1:30 am. Got up ready to leave at 9 and they called while we were leaving and wanted to know where we were. They had decided to have us bring some plywood back to Orlando in case it was needed.

4 hours later we had a rented trailer and 44 sheets of plywood loaded and were on our way.

Got in kind of late last night and had some trouble getting gas on the way home but made it. I got my boards up today and everything else we needed to hold us over should we loose power, which we have before with these.  One of them we were out of power for a week.

Not sure if we are working to prep stores tomorrow or not.

Right now the UPdate says the center will hit us just east of Key West as a Cat 5, then again below Tampa as a Cat 4. Then will cross the state west of Orlando sort of following I-75. However the strongest winds and rains are on the Right Side of the storm and that is where we will be. supposed to hit 75-100 mph wind gusts.

Hope all you are ready, stay safe.

Lipripper

Fred glad y'all made it home in time ot get all the work y'all had to do to get ready for Irma and will keep all of y'all down there in my thoughts and prayers. Check in when you can and let us know your still hanging on.

Hope everyone is safe and prepared. Tampa is not the place to come as of the latest forecast. Was going to fish this morning but winds are too high (15mph). Going to spend the day boarding up the house. Going to be a long next 48 hours!
